An easy and tasty treat that will take you less than 15 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- 6 fresh jalapeños, cut lengthwise, seeds and membrane removed (WEAR GLOVES!)
- 6 strips of cooked bacon, roughly chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Pinch of salt
- Freshly ground black pepper, a couple of grinds
- Vinyl gloves
- Parchment paper
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, fresh cilantro

Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Jalapeños:
- While wearing vinyl gloves, cut the jalapeños lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- Make the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Stuff the Jalapeños:
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
- Top with Bacon:
- Sprinkle the roughly chopped cooked bacon over the stuffed jalapeños.
- Bake:
- Place the stuffed jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the jalapeños are roasted and the cheese filling is lightly browned.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the stuffed jalapeños to cool for a few minutes before serving, as they will be very hot.
- Optionally, top with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with fresh cilantro for added flavor.
Tips
- Handling Jalapeños: Always wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation from the capsaicin.
- Bacon: For extra flavor, use smoked or peppered bacon.
- Extra Toppings: Try adding shredded cheese on top before baking for an extra cheesy treat.
