Simple and Crispy Oven-Baked Bacon

Here’s a super simple and no mess method to cook crispy bacon in your oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of bacon (16 oz)
  • Parchment paper
  • Sheet pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Pan:
    Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange Bacon:
    Arrange the bacon slices on the lined sheet pan so that they do not touch. Create little gaps to ensure even cooking for the entire package.
  4. Cook Bacon:
    Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and cook the bacon for 12-20 minutes, depending on your preferred level of crispiness:For less crispy bacon, start checking at 12 minutes.
    For crispier bacon, cook for up to 20 minutes.
  5. Drain Bacon:
    Once the bacon is cooked to your liking, remove it from the oven and place the slices on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
  6. Clean Up:
    Allow the sheet pan to cool completely. Then, simply roll up the parchment paper with the bacon grease and discard. For easy cleanup, if the pan remains clean, you can store it back in the cabinet without washing.
